Announcing the La Sylphide Sewalong!

Posted by: LLADYBIRD on 2:21 AM
Based on all the feedback we're getting, it sounds like y'all are hankering for assistance with the La Sylphide pattern (and the Watson Jacket too, but one pattern at a time, guys ;)). I don't like to be a tease, so let's have a sewalong!

The La Sylphide is listed as "skilled," but a confident beginner with a couple garments under their belt should be able to comfortably handle this pattern. I will be posting fabric tips and inspiration over the next couple of weeks before we start the sewalong, and am happy to assist with any questions you may have. I love this pattern (and I've made the peplum top twice!) and I want y'all to love it as much as I do!
Dress not up your alley? There are also variations for the top and skirt, which we will also be covering in the sewalong.
The sewalong is scheduled to start November 11, which gives you three weeks to get your pattern and fabric ready (those of you in the US who do not already have their pattern - plan for about a week shipping time). Next week or so, we will go into more detail about fabric options and a timelime of events, but for now - go get your pattern!

Also, I'd like to congratulate sandra_stitch for winning the Made By You contest! We love that she made not only one, but TWO Circle Tops - don't they look so pretty and comfy? You can see her blog posts on the tops here and here. Hmm, now I want a Circle Top for me, too! Congratulations, Sandra! Katie will be in touch with you :)
